Rebuild your chain after your layout has fallen apart.

If your corner and chain have collapsed and the big tiles are scattered, focus on rebuilding your layout rather than forcing your way forward. The first step is gathering your biggest tile back into a corner.

Create matching values near your scattered big tiles and merge them, gradually realigning the chain into a single row. Along the way, clear out small tiles quickly to free up cells.

If recovery looks unlikely, it's also fine to play it safe and protect the score you already have. Sticking to the corner strategy from the very start of your next game will lead to better results.
